Utah Cares submission

We hope to feature nonprofits with powerful stories of the work that charitable groups do to strengthen communities and enrich lives. Nonprofits wishing to be considered must send an email with the following information:

    Name of Organization
    Town/Area Served (or Statewide)
    Contact Name
    Contact Number
    E-mail Address
Organization’s Web Site Address (if any)
Brief Description of the Work of the Organization
    Suggested Story and Storyteller

We are interested in participant, donor, service recipient, or constituent perspectives, which may be augmented. We have found that personal stories by people who can speak comfortably about their own first-hand experiences make the best spots.

These radio spots are designed to create a positive face for the nonprofit sector as a whole and to give people a reason to care about the work of nonprofit organizations in Utah. This series does not seek to raise money for specific groups or to promote specific nonprofit events.

An advisory committee selects those organizations whose proposed stories best convey the spirit of Utah Cares to listeners, while reflecting a diverse range of subject matter, geography, voice and perspective. Participating individuals will generally be invited to record their stories in either the KCPW studio in Salt Lake City or in one of Utah Public Radio's studios in Logan. In special cases, recording sessions may be scheduled in other locations, and phone interviews may be accommodated when travel is prohibitive.
