Cedar City police responded to a home on a domestic disturbance there. Outside on the steps they found 30-year-old Denise Tomer with a bloodied face and a handgun. 

Chris Holmes reports on what happened next.  

No one was arrested, but Tuesday morning officers raided three smoke shops in Provo, one in American Fork, and one in Lehi, looking for Spice. 

Officers were part of the Utah County Major Crimes task force. Kerry Bringhurst has the story.

The Utah Farm Bureau has released its list of "Issues to Watch for in 2012." Ashley Tolman spoke with the president of the Utah Farm Bureau for details.

Sonic booms have been common place for the past few weeks -- especially at night, but after Friday things should quiet down a bit for residents of southern Nevada and southwestern Utah. Chris Holmes explains the military training exercises that have been causing the rattling sound-barrier breaking ruckus.

The Utah Senate signed off on a bill this morning that revamps the five citizen boards within Utah’s Department of Environmental Quality, such as the air quality and drinking water boards. But that didn’t happen until it was amended to guarantee that environmental groups would have representation on them. The bill’s sponsor, Republican Senator Margaret Dayton, said she approved of the amendment, which was sponsored by a Democratic lawmaker.

Kerry Bringhurst talks to Dave Greiling about the scanner recordings released by Weber County authorities from the January 4th shooting in Odgen that resulted in an officer's death and the Roy teenagers who are faced with possessing a weapon of mass destruction and plotting to blow up a high school.

House Bill 57 Shrinks Age Gap for Sexual Consent

A bill that lowers the age difference allowed between an older teenager and his or her sexual partner received unanimous support in a House committee yesterday. As Whittney Evans reports, Utah currently allows a 16 or 17 year old to have sex with someone who is less than 10 years older, but one Republican lawmaker says that age gap is too wide.

Recycling Plant Goes Up in Flames in Deweyville

A fire sparked by a welder's torch burned paper, plastics, and styrofoam at a Box Elder County recycling plant Wednesday afternoon. Smoke from the Deweyville blaze could be seen as far away as Brigham City. Early damage estimates are close to 1 million dollars. Highway 38 was closed due to the fire.
