Authorities say they have no doubt Josh Powell, husband of missing Susan Powell, is at fault for the explosion that killed him and his two children.

Donation to Help Make Museum Possible

A $1 million donation was received at Southern Utah University from the Sorenson Legacy Foundation. This money will go toward building an accredited state-of-the-art fine arts museum on the SUU campus.

Authorities have no doubt the husband of missing Utah woman Susan Powell is responsible for the explosive fire Sunday that killed their two children and himself yesterday in Washington State. The investigation is in full swing in Pierce County as the Sheriff's Department begins to fill holes in the case.

Josh Powell's Family Reacts to Breaking News Out of Washington State

More than two years after the disappearance of West Valley City resident Susan Powell, her husband and the only person of interest ever named in the case killed himself and their two boys yesterday. Police in Washington say Josh Powell used accelerants to set his home on fire when his children were brought there for a supervised visit. KCPW’s Jessica Gail spoke with Josh Powell’s brother-in-law after the tragedy, and reports on how the family is reacting.

SUU Sustainability Coordinator in Police Custody

Cedar City police responded to a home on a domestic disturbance there. Outside on the steps they found 30-year-old Denise Tomer with a bloodied face and a handgun.

'Spice' Found in Smoke Shops in Utah Valley

No one was arrested, but Tuesday morning officers raided three smoke shops in Provo, one in American Fork, and one in Lehi, looking for Spice. 

Officers were part of the Utah County Major Crimes task force. Kerry Bringhurst has the story.

State Senate Revamps Environmental Quality Boards

The Utah Senate signed off on a bill this morning that revamps the five citizen boards within Utah’s Department of Environmental Quality, such as the air quality and drinking water boards. But that didn’t happen until it was amended to guarantee that environmental groups would have representation on them. The bill’s sponsor, Republican Senator Margaret Dayton, said she approved of the amendment, which was sponsored by a Democratic lawmaker.
