UPR listeners, please join us in wishing strength and peace for our Moab correspondent, Vicki Barker, as she faces a very immediate battle with cancer. She has brought Moab to life for us on the airwaves and the void of her voice will not soon be filled.
Join us between 6 and 9 p.m. this Friday, April 13, as Utah Public Radio will be a part of the annual Gallery Walk, hosted by Cache Valley Center for the Arts. Stroll through our downtown studio at 43 S. Main Street, looking at artist Trent Gudmundsen's exhibit Women and Children, while listening to guitarist Robert Linton. Refreshments will be provided by Auntie Em's Cakes for All Occasions and Culligan Water. To learn more about the artists we will be showcasing at our stop on the Gallery Tour, you can visit their websites.
Congratulations to Scott Theurer, Tim Taylor, and Steve Lineback, who all made pledges of support to Utah Public Radio this morning and each won a 2-night stay for 2 at the Shooting Star Drive-in in Escalante, UT!
To all of our gift-giving and member-renewing supporters and to our new member listeners, we offer our thanks for a successful Spring Pledge Drive. We raised nearly $80,000 toward our goal of $90,000 and we mean it when we say that every dollar counts.
Special thanks to our lucky grand prize winners who each won a new Apple iPad: Lillian Duran (Millville, UT) and Jack Schmidt (N. Logan, UT).
Caucus meetings for Utah's political parties begin next week. The "Find My Caucus Location" tool on vote.utah.gov allows all Utahns to quickly and easily find the date, time, and location of their party's local caucus meeting.
Utah Public Radio’s newest program will be taped in front of a live audience. Weber State University is hosting a taping of From the Top on March 8, 2012. Host Christopher O’Riley will present amazing performances by talented young musicians on the stage at Weber State University’s Browning Center for the Performing Arts in Ogden, Utah.
