Join UPR and the Herald Journal for the Logan mayoral debate July 25, at 7 p.m.

Come learn about the mayoral candidates for the Logan Mayor race happening in August. Utah Public Radio and the Herald Journal are sponsoring a Logan mayoral debate Thursday July 25 at the Whittier Center in Logan.

Logan's three candidates for the mayoral race will meet with the public at 7 p.m.

Immigration bill before Senate committee

The Senate voted Tuesday to proceed in their deliberations on immigration reform. UPR's 60th Anniversary Auction is currently underway, and more items are being added each day.

Add an item to the auction


Peruse and bid on the item(s) of your choice.

The auction is open now through the evening of Tuesday, June 18. First time bidders must register before proceeding. Former users simply log in.


Fill out the form for a new bidder, and click register. The form will then show again, with a link at the top that says, "Please Click Here to Begin Bidding!" which will link you back to the main page of the auction.

See Wait Wait Live on the Big Screen

The beloved NPR show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me! will be coming to the big screen on Thursday May 2, 2013. UPR will host our guests at the showing in Ogden at the Cinemark Tinseltown 14 Theatre.

Host Peter Sagal and official judge and scorekeeper Carl Kasell will be joined by panelists Paula Poundstone, Mo Rocca and Tom Bodett to play the quiz in front of a live audience - Carl reading limericks! Celebrity guests answering stupid questions! Faces made for radio! You’ve heard it in 1D, now see it live in 2D.

Reserve Your Spot for StoryCorps in St. George

UPR and Dixie Regional Medical Center are sponsoring the StoryCorps recording booth in St. George May 2 to June 1, and the slots are ready to be taken! 

StoryCorps allows two people to enter the recording booth and interview each other for 45 minutes. At the end of the interview, they receive a CD of the interview, and a copy of their interview is placed in the Library of Congress.
