Utah Public Radio is looking for a professional practice assistant professor and station manager (non-tenure track) at Utah State University in Logan. The new professional practice assistant professor/station manager will teach two courses in intermediate and advanced radio production, one each fall and spring semester.
UPR is a member of NPR with six full-power stations and 30 translators and within a half-day’s drive of eight national parks and covers the entire state of Utah outside Salt Lake City. The station is committed to innovation and providing practical experience to the best of the next generation of those interested in public radio through UPR’s expanding student intern program.
Utah Public Radio, an NPR member station located on USU Campus in Logan, is searching for a part-time web PR and social media intern. This person must be able to assist in overseeing social media projects, maintain UPR’s online service and help with PR/Marketing. Someone with an active social media resume is preferred.
Pay: Department Credit Candidate must have approval from department to receive credit
Duration: May- December 2013
Expectations for Applicants:
Applicants must have excellent writing and editing skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
Experience with social media platforms for personal use, and/or for a corporation or organization.
Basic digital photo editing and image manipulation.
Familiarity with NPR programming is a big plus.

Utah Public Radio is searching for a business manager. The successful applicant is responsible for processing all of the financial activities for Utah Public Radio. This position will serve as the Business Manager for the station. They work in a confidential manner with the general manager; interact with UPR staff, CHaSS staff, and the USU Controller and Development Offices.
Utah Public Radio, an NPR membership station located on USU Campus in Logan, seeks part-time production coordinator intern. Responsibilities include generating topic ideas, identifying and contacting guests, conducting research, engineering live daily program and producing audio for locally produced program, Access Utah.
Schedule: 8-11 a.m. Monday to Friday, 15 hours a week.
