Zesty Garden- March 21

How do you plant a garden when there’s snow on the ground one day and it’s raining the next? It’s important to know not only the makeup of your soil, but also how warm it must be before you can plant. On this week’s show, Dr. Teryl Roper from USU’s plant, soils and climate department will help you discover the secrets to timing your garden plantings.

We’ll also focus on taking care of the fruits in your garden. That’s this Thursday morning at 10:00 on the Zesty Garden.

Bryan Earl has been with UPR since 1993. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Journalism and completed an internship at KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon, before coming to UPR full-time. When not in his garden, Bryan loves to travel with his family, ride trains, ski at Beaver Mountain, and sing with the American Festival Chorus.
