Utah Police Say 1 Dead, 3 Injured In Separate Shootings

Utah police say one person is dead and three others were injured in separate shootings in the Salt Lake City area.

Police say a teen boy and a man were hospitalized after suffering serious injuries during a Tuesday afternoon shooting in West Valley City followed by some sort of disagreement.

West Valley City police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku says one man was killed in the shooting.

As of late Tuesday, no arrests were made.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot on the same day in South Salt Lake.

South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller says the boy was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators are not sure if the two shootings — which occurred within 6 miles (10 kilometers) of each other — are related.
