UPDATE: Utah Middle School On Lock Down After Student Fires Gun

davis.k12.ut.us

A Utah junior high student says an armed 15-year-old boy entered a science classroom and fired a shot into the ceiling before a woman grabbed the shotgun he held, threw it down and pulled him into a hallway.

Student Dan Fowers said Thursday he was in the classroom at Mueller Park Junior High in Bountiful when the student burst in shortly after class started.

Fowers says the boy fired a shot shortly before the woman grabbed the gun and told him to stop.

Police say no one was injured after the boy's parents intervened in the incident.

They have not released the boy's identity or details about why he brought two guns to school.
