Students Rally Around Collapsed USU Basketball Player

An on-court emergency last night landed a Utah State University basketball player in the hospital. UPR's Brianna Bodily reports on how students reacted and rallied around the player during the incident.

Students are still reeling after basketball player Danny Berger collapsed Tuesday night on the court. USU officials say after his collapse Berger wasn't breathing and medical units had to use a defibrillator to revive him. The news quickly traveled from student to student.

University officials say Burger was flown to Murray, where he is now in critical but stable condition.

Brianna’s passion for journalism comes from a love of learning and a desire to know everything.  She studies Broadcast Journalism and Political Science at Utah State University and hopes one day to travel the world reporting hard news. She also works as the Aggie Radio news director and a reporter for USU TV.
