Fresh Folk- October 5
Get ready for a special membership drive edition of Fresh Folk this week, as I feature the new release from the amazing songwriter Buddy Mondlock, and the latest album from the talented Tret Fure. I’ll also play songs from new albums by Deborah Holland, Amy Coffman, and Andrew Calhoun, to name just a few. Join me this Saturday at 8pm for Fresh Folk on Utah Public Radio.
There are some great concerts happening around the state, and here’s a list of who’s playing when: Matt Nathanson and Joshua Radin at the Murray Theater on Oct 7th, KT Tunstall at the State Room on Oct 8th, Jake Shimabukuro at the State Room on Oct 11th, Carbon Leaf at the Urban Lounge on Oct 14th, Ani DiFranco at the Depot on Oct 19th, the California Guitar Trio perform at Peery’s Egyptian Theater on Nov 3rd, Rory Block plays at the Egyptian Theater on Nov 8th and 9th, Greensky Bluegrass does a show at the State Room on Nov 13th, Vienna Teng plays at the State Room on December 14th, and one of tonight’s artists The Piano Guys do a show at the Energy Solutions Arena on December 21st. In Logan, the Taj Mahal Trio performs at the Ellen Eccles Theater on Oct 15th and 16th; and Alisa Fineman and Kimball Hurd play at Crumb Brothers on Oct 26th. Lastly, the Moab Folk Festival on Nov 1-3rd, in Moab, with Joshua James, The Steel Wheels, and Eliza Gilkyson, among others, scheduled to perform.
