At 4:30 a.m. Wednesday a fire broke out at Patch’s Majestic Metal warehouse near 500 North and State Street in Lindon. Firefighters from Orem, Provo and American Fork battled the blaze for five hours before they could contain it. The fire destroyed the entire warehouse and a home nearby. The occupants of the home were able to escape before the fire destroyed it completely.
This afternoon demolition crews quickly began working to turn off the main gas line near the building in case of an explosion.
Investigators are still trying to find the cause of the fire.
