"Evening in Brazil" on Monday's Access Utah

Aimee Cobabe

It's an Access Utah tradition. Every year we gather with members of the band Evening in Brazil in UPR's studio C to enjoy some great Bossa Nova and Samba.

Monday on AU, Linda Ferreira Linford, Christopher Neale, Mike Christiansen and Eric Nelson will join us for the hour as they prepare for concerts on Monday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo; and Thursday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. We hope you'll tune in for Monday's AU for a lot of music and a little conversation.

Tom Williams worked as a part-time UPR announcer for a few years and joined Utah Public Radio full-time in 1996. He is a proud graduate of Uintah High School in Vernal and Utah State University (B. A. in Liberal Arts and Master of Business Administration.) He grew up in a family that regularly discussed everything from opera to religion to politics. He is interested in just about everything and loves to engage people in conversation, so you could say he has found the perfect job as host “Access Utah.” He and his wife Becky, live in Logan.
