Driveway Moment: Don't Give Up

About a month ago, I was listening to Access Utah and Tom was interviewing Pauline Hansen whose husband has schizophrenia. For the first 10 years of their marriage, Hansen said she didn’t notice any unusual behavior, then one day he told her he had a dream. In the dream, they were supposed to win a game. He asked Hansen to put furniture in their garage and he wouldn’t talk to their children because he thought they were from the opposing side.

Although some of the things Hansen’s husband asked her to do were strange and she didn’t know what was going on, she stuck through it. She is still married to her husband and she loves him. Divorce wasn’t even a question in her mind.

I love this, because it shows that you don’t give up on people. Life isn’t always perfect and for me, this showed me that there are some really, really hard trials in this life but it gave me hope and a realization that it all ends up being okay in the end.
