Police received the distress call around 2:45 p.m. from a Zions Bank at 440 West Parrish. Dispatchers initially described the suspect as a tall, skinny man, but Assistant Chief Paul Child says investigators later determined that wasn’t the case.

“The teller, in viewing the suspect, she believed that the suspect was actually a female dressed up to look like a male with the fake mustache and the sunglasses, and so forth,” said Child.

The suspect is being described as 5-foot-6, 140-pounds and wearing a baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a white hoodie with the words "Metal Mulisha” printed on the back. She made off with an undisclosed amount of money after demanding all cash in the till in a note slipped across the desk.

The suspect left the scene before police could arrive. They are working on identifying the car she escaped in.  “We’re developing information right now on the vehicle,” said Child. “We’ve got some pretty good leads on the vehicle that was used and possibly a picture, but we want to confirm things before we release that.” After thoroughly searching the area, police did not come up with a potential suspect.  If anyone in the public has information in regards to the robbery, they can call the Centerville Police Department at (801) 292-8441.
