Ashley R. Tolman

Ashley grew up in Brigham City, but moved to Logan to attend Utah State University. She worked her way through school as a country music DJ at a commercial station, but discovered her love for public radio news as an intern reporter for UPR-- and switched her focus.  After graduating in broadcast journalism and music, Ashley now hosts Here and Now from NPR for Utah Public Radio.

When Ashley is away from the station, it's very likely that she is singing. She is an opera performer, and has found that nothing in the world brings her as much true joy as singing. Whether on the stage, hiking in the mountains, kayaking on a river, or sitting on the beach, she has yet to find a setting where she's able to stifle the songs in her heart!

Ashley can quote Parks and Recreation episodes better than most humans in the state--probably America-- and quite possibly the world.
